Retail Store Manager

Basic Purpose:

The primary responsibility of this position is the overall management of a Long Lines Wireless retail store. This person is responsible for promoting sales while minimizing store operating expenses and maintaining high service levels to customers and stores.

  • Lead and manage the retail sales team to achieve all team and personal sales goals while maintaining effective cost controls
  • Resolve all customer issues as quickly as possible
  • Execute the retail strategy of Long Lines including: sales, merchandising, operating, and human resource strategies
  • Achieve, maintain activation goals and controllable expenses
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, and training sales personnel to represent Long Lines in selling Long Lines services and products, including corrective actions, terminations of sales personnel
  • Daily reconciliation to all daily register summary reports, POS transactions, and deposits
  • Supervise, evaluate, and counsel personnel. Establish personnel goals, monitor production, maintain and develop employee-selling skills
  • Ensure compliance to all cash handling procedures
  • Manage and control store petty cash fund
  • Ensure the physical inventory levels and shrinkage are managed to goals
  • Ensure accurate inventory records, timely administrative functions, and maintenance of expected staffing levels
  • Develop and ensure the correct scheduling and staffing to ensure maximum level of customer service within the store's budgetary parameters
  • Monitor and take action on weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports including sales reports, staffing reports, and inventory tracking


  • College degree or equivalent preferred. Experience to be considered.
  • Minimum of one year sales management experience or equivalent with a proven track record and high level of achievement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communications skills, time-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Able to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Ability to maintain strong community involvement and interaction
  • Self-motivation with a strong desire for success
  • Prior Wireless industry experience preferred
