When you call Long Lines Internet Tech Support, we'll ask for...

 

* Your Long Lines Internet username.

* Your password. Passwords are case sensitive and must be typed exact.

* Your e-mail address.

* Your computer brand and model...IBM, Gateway, Dell, Macintosh, etc.

* Your browser you are using...MS Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape's Navigator 4.5, etc.

* The operating system your computer uses...Windows 95 98/ME/XP, Mac OS 8, 10, etc.

* The e-mail software program you are using...MS Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator, Eudora, etc.

* The brand and model of your modem you use. (The problem may be due to outdated modem driver software controlling your modem or a physical modem problem in which you may have to call the manufacturer of your PC for technical support.)

* Write down any error messages that may have appeared while trying connect or while you were online.

 

If possible be at your computer when you call Long Lines Internet Technical Support. In most cases the technician can troubleshoot your computer without being connected to the internet.
